Our mission is to preserve, develop and promote our natural and cultural heritage, transfer it in a better shape for future generations by developing sustainable tourism businesses and creating job opportunities leading to local circular economy and wellbeing enhancement of local community.

Welcome to Bchaaleh Trails Association (BTA), a non-governmental organization dedicated to transforming your visit to Bchaaleh into an unforgettable adventure. Embark on a journey with us and discover the beauty of nature, culture, and community based spirit in this charming Lebanese village.
Bchaaleh Trails Association (BTA) journey began in July 2018 with the initiation of the Bchaaleh Hiking Trail Network Project funded by USAID under the LIVCD project in collaboration with Bchaaleh Municipality and Bchaaleh Association for Development.
Over the years, our dedicated team has thrived to create and preserve a meaningful responsible tourism in the village.
In 2021, we achieved two significant milestones. The first is connecting our trails to the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT) through the thematic side trail “Noah’s Olive Trail”. The second is partnering with The Olive Routes one of the cultural routes of the Council of Europe. These steps put Bchaaleh village on the national and international touristic map and lead us to further develop and enhance sustainable tourism activities and experiences, creating a positive impact on both guests and the local community.

Diverse Hiking Trails
Our meticulously designed hiking trails, spanning 28 km, cater to hikers of all levels. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced enthusiast, our trails offer breathtaking views, historical sites, and a connection to the natural beauty of Bchaaleh. Choose from themed hikes such as sunset hikes, snowshoeing adventures, or full moon hikes with camping.
Millennial Olive Trees Tour
Explore the enchanting world of the world’s oldest olive trees, a UNESCO-recognized natural heritage. Engage in guided tours that unveil the tangile and intangible cultural heritage surrounding these ancient trees.
Cultural Immersion
Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Bchaaleh. Visit the seven historical monasteries, explore caves, sarcophagi, and traditional agricultural rooms “Mantaras”. Wander through the ruins of Al Hossen fortress, and discover the unrevealed archaeological city.
